Alan McGee heads to Belfast
Creation and Poptones supremo Alan McGee is Belfast-bound next month for the inaugural CinemagicMusic festival.
McGee, who’s star signings include Oasis, Primal Scream and My Bloody Valentine, will be taking part in a Q&A session as part of the seminar for young people who want to work in the music industry.
Also revealing the tricks of his trade will be 10CC man-turned-video producer Kevin Godley whose credits include U2, Paul McCartney, Frank Sinatra, Blur and Sting.
Running over four days, there will be 12 masterclasses and a 5,000-capacity gig in the city-centre on June 24. One of the bands mooted to be playing are Starsailor whose lead singer, James Walsh, is currently living in Belfast with his Norn Iron girlfriend.
