Lightning Bolt plan whirlwind Irish tour
Lock up your children: experimental noise duo Lightning Bolt are to bring thier famed spontaenous live act to Ireland.
Brian Chippendale (vocals/drums) and Brian Gibson (bass), who's most famous gig was in John Peel's back garden during the All Tomorrow's Parties festival in 2004, are to visit the following cities on the following dates:
23 May - Belfast, TBC
24 - Dublin, Whelans
25 - Cork, Connolly's of Leap
26 - Galway, Roisin Dubh
Their live acts are notably unpredictable, with the pair preferring to play in the middle of the audience rather than the stage.
What's certain, though, is that they'll be airing the cream of last year's leftfield noise album Hypermagic Moutain, their fourth for Load Records.
