16 new artists have been added to the bill for The Electric Picnic, which takes place on September 3 and 4, at Stradbally Hall in Co. Laois.
Doves, Vitalic, The Herbaliser , DJ Deep, Emmet Tinley, Hot Chip, Be Your Own Pet, Dave’s Radio, Optimo Djs, and the Unbombers have all been added to the bill for Saturday September 3.
LCD Soundsytem, Redneck Manifesto, JJ72 (pictured), The Rakes, Who Made Who and The Devlins will complete Sunday night’s line up.
This news comes following the announcement of the addition of Lemon Jelly, James Blunt, Ben Watt and Giles Peterson to the bill, last week.
The newly announced acts join an eclectic musical line up of: Kraftwerk, Fatboy Slim, Flaming Lips, Royksopp, Arcade Fire, Mercury Rev, Damien Dempsey, Laurent Garnier, Goldfraap, Stereo MC’s, Amp Fiddler, Mixmaster Mike, DJ Asian Dub Foundation, Caesars, Danger Mouse, The Chalets, Matthew Hertbert Big Band, Ben Watt and Giles Peterson (on Saturday September 3).
The new acts announced for Sunday September 4 will join a line up of: Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Mercury Rev, 2 Many DJs, Lemon Jelly, Audio Bullys, Roisin Murphy, Declan O Rourke, The Human League, James Blunt, Toods and the Maytals, Soulwax, De La Soul, Mr Scruff, Bob Mould Band, Nouvelle Vague, DJ Format and DJ Sneak.
There are still more comedians to be announced for The International Comedy Club Stage, which will be hosted by Tommy Tiernan and Des Bishop
Tickets for The Electric Picnic are priced at €62.50 for one day, €105 for two days or €135 for two days including camping.
Tickets, which are limited to 25,000 per day, are now on sale at Ticketmaster, and all major ticket outlets throughout the country.
