Green Day confirmed for Oxegen '05

In what is possibly the worst kept secret, Green Day are to play this year’s Oxegen Festival, as reported on hotpress.com a month ago!

The American day-glo punks will be playing the Oxegen festival, taking place on July 9-10 at Punchestown Racecourse, Dublin. The trio last played the capital at the end of January, but their last festival date in the country was 2002’s Witnness.

With their three-chord, three-minute punk tunes lending themselves perfectly to a festival crowd, their grown-up effort of ‘American Idiot’ will only add colour to the proceedings.
