The Music Of Kevin Keegan
The CD does a fine job of conveying Keegan’s old-school flair and solid technique.
Galway-born accordionist and singer Kevin Keegan (1924-1978) played with the Aughrim Slopes Céilí Band in the 1950s and later emigrated to the States, where he lived in Chicago and San Francisco. His great friend and fellow accordionist Joe Burke has assembled this compilation from “bootleg” recordings made by various friends and acquaintances, and while the sound quality is no better than one would expect, the CD does a fine job of conveying Keegan’s old-school flair and solid technique.
