Having their own record label (Tabami Records) & 70,000 albums sold, in the Baltics, SKAMP are now Dublin based where their lead singer, Erica Jennings, was born. Currently recording new tracks in London, with production company GMW Entertainment, their new album will be released in the Baltics & Poland this autumn. Now they're in talks with labels about a UK single. A strong, fresh rock sound, SKAMP are captivating live & their last Irish gigs were sell outs. The group's been asked to represent Lithuania in festivals across Europe celebrating EU accession.
Moreover, one of their hits has been chosen to promote Lithuanian arts abroad. Meanwhile, Erica is releasing a radio single, "Lovely Day", featured on the Buddha Bar compilation "Living Theatre Vol.1" which has been remixed by renowned U.S. DJ Tracy Young (Madonna, Pink / djtracyyoung.com) . Old News Is Good News Dept: You may have noticed the brilliant new Hot Press in your newsagents, with New York City's The Strokes on the front cover. Now, Hot Press and The Strokes go back a long way (well as long as the The Strokes go back, which is the year of the lord, 2001 really!)
