Just as the heavens got ready to pour, Everything Everything played to a packed Electric Arena.
We'd gotten a flavour of what they were planning to do during an interview in the Hot Press Chatroom earlier in the day (video coming soon), but Everything Everything stuck closely to their new material during this afternoon's set at the Electric Arena.
Embracing a more guitar-orientated sound was never going to be a struggle for a band as musically adept as Everything Everything, but it was still a treat to see them executing some of their best songs from fourth album A Fever Dream in front of a live audience. 'Can't Do' and 'Ivory Tower' were brilliant spectacles, while the closing strains of Get To Heaven tracks 'Distant Past' and 'No Reptiles' showcased the strange, coaxing falsetto of Jonathan Higgs.

They'll return to Ireland next February at the Olympia - well worth trying to catch them.
