It seems not even the Beatles can dethrone Ed Sheeran this week, though.
It's been 50 years since its release, but Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band's still got it, as the album is at number two on the charts this week. With the album celebrating its half-century birthday, the 50th anniversary edition took down even Harry Styles in its first week on the charts. Still couldn't shake Ed Sheeran though, as Divide is still at number one in its thirteenth week on the charts. It may be time to accept that if Sgt Pepper can't take Sheeran down a peg, no one can.
Another newcomer to the charts is Damien Dempsey's Soulsun at a well-deserved third spot ranking right behind Sgt. Pepper in its first week on the charts. Maybe Dempsey will finally be the one to take down Divide. Only time will tell...
