The iconic punk-rock drummer is just one of the upcoming highlights out west
Richie Ramone, formerly of The Ramones, is headed to Monroe's Live in December.
Renowned as the fastest, most powerful drummer who ever played with the legendary punk rock band, Richie sat behind the kit from 1983, and wrote a truckload of tunes along with racking up more than 500 live shows. Indeed, Joey once remarked that “[Richie] saved the band as far as I’m concerned. He’s the greatest thing to happen to the Ramones. He put the spirit back in the band,” – and that's certainly good enough for us!
He released his debut LP Entitled in 2013, and latest offering Cellophane further underlines his ability to please even the most discerning of hard rockers.
Tickets for his December 15 show are priced at €18/€15 online.
One won't have to wait quite that long to enjoy some classic rock action at the venue, though, as top-notch Nirvana tribute Negative Creeps are set to make an appearance next month. They'll be rocking the backstage bar on October 7; tickets for that one are €10/€8 online.
