The former frontman of the iconic rock group guests on 'Mr. Rock and Roll'.
Brian Johnson has lent his vocal talents to former Saturday Night Live cast member Jim Breuer's upcoming heavy metal debut album. Johnson guests on two tracks of the soon to be released Songs From The Garage record.
Johnson was recently replaced by Axl Rose as the frontman of ACDC due to his declining hearing. In a statement issued in March the singer said he risked "total deafness" if he continued to perform in large venues. Rose is now filling in for him on the band's current tour.
It is thought these recordings may well be the last of Johnson's career as a result of the declining state of his hearing. 'Mr. Rock and Roll' is the first of two tracks Johnson will be heard on in the album with the second one yet to be revealed. The track features his trademark shrill vocals exchanging lines with Breuer.
Speaking to Rolling Stone Breuer described Johnson, "as the most powerful voice in rock & roll" and " the funniest and most generous man I have ever known". Songs From The Garage from Jim Breuer and The Loud & Rowdy, will be released on May 27. Listen to 'Mr. Rock and Roll' below.
