The first batch of acts confirmed to hit the woods also includes Margaret Glaspy and Jalen N’Gonda
The first batch of acts set for the Other Voices Stage at this year's Electric Picnic has been unveiled.
Leading the charge are Ireland's premier party band, Le Galazie (pictured). They aren't the only Irish act on the bill either, as Northern duo Saint Sister will also bring their brand of atmospheric folk to the stage in the woods.
Singer-songwriter Julia Jacklin – whose folk stylings turned no small amount of heads at SXSW this year – and modern country master Karl Blau are also heading through the undergrowth, while Margaret Glaspy, Jalen N’Gonda and Dr. Dog round out the first announcement.
There'll be plenty more to come, of course – and given that everyone from Hozier and Villagers to St. Vincent and East India Youth have found themselves there, announced or otherwise, it'll definitely be worth keeping an eye on throughout the festival.
The bad news, though, if this is the announcement to twist your arm into marking the September weekender on your calendar, is that the festival is already completely sold out.
