The Barbadian beauty continues to dominate the charts with 'Work' tying in with The Beatles for the second-most weeks spent at No.1 in the US.
'Work' has remained cosy in the No.1 spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart for eight consecutive weeks.
Rihanna has now caught up with the Fab Four's record who topped the board for 59 weeks in total throughout their expansive career. One more week as No.1 and she will push the Liverpool legends to 3rd place and realistically, there's not much they can do about it to change their order in the list. The only thing between Ri-Ri and the top spot? Ms. Mariah Carey holds the coveted 1st place with 79 weeks at No.1. Here is who Rihanna has surpassed so far;
No. 1- Mariah Carey - 79 Weeks
No.2- Rihanna - 59 Weeks
No. 2- The Beatles - 59 Weeks
No. 3-- Boyz II Men - 50 Weeks
No. 4- Usher - 49 Weeks
It's not the only chart that these three global superstars are in a bid for the top spot. With 'Work' being Rihanna's 14th chart-topper that puts her in 3rd place in the leaderboard of artists with most No.1's. The Beatles lead this race with 20 No.1 singles, followed by Mariah Carey with 18.
Hits like 'SOS', 'Umbrella', 'Love The Way You Lie' and 'We Found Love' have advanced Rihanna's position in the list rapidly and with several more singles to be released from her critically-acclaimed ANTI album that should bump her up some more.
Arguably, the biggest pop star in the world, we have every faith that Ri-Ri is on a steady road to chart domination.
