Discounted vinyl, record giveaways and live performances from Fangclub and September Girls, the next week looks very exciting
Record Store Day may be a week away, but Tower Records in Dublin isn't wasting anytime getting the party started.
Today, Friday April 8, you can get your hands on some superb discounted vinyl LPs. Sonic Youth's Goo, Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly, PJ Harvey's Let England Shake, Fleetwood Mac's Rumours and The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's. Fun fact: this is the lowest vinyl price Sgt Pepper's has ever retailed at. The sale will run for ten days in the run up to Record Store Day.
From Monday, 11 April right up until Friday, 15 April tune in to TXFM's Claire Beck's show from 11:00 -15:00, where she'll be giving away vinyl bundles each day. Plus, there'll be chances to win some tasty titles on Paul McLoone's Show on Today FM from Monday to Thursday of next week, too (21:00 - 00:00) PLUS, Paul will be running a week long competition where one lucky winner will get exclusive access to Tower Records Dawson St before ANYONE else! There'll be live performances in-store from 12pm to 6pm, on Saturday April 16. September Girls - who are also releasing their second album Age of Indignation today, Fangclub, Wolff, Black Bank Folk and The Young Folk.

Tower Records official Record Store Day after-party will be happening in the Dean Dublin on Harcourt St from 4pm to 10pm. Tower will also be giving out wristbands in-store during the day which will entitle you to a complimentary Record Store Day cocktail at Dean's Lobby Bar. SOUND.
