Cecelia Ahern doesn't wait about as she has already signed a movie deal for her newest book Flawed - which hasn't even been published yet!
Warner Bros have proved their faith in Dublin author Ahern to publish a seller of a book as they have already signed a deal to make a movie from her next book Flawed.
The book won't be on the shelves until March 24 but it's already been given the Hollywood treatment with a movie adaptation in check. Flawed is Ahern's transition into the Young Adult fiction as she hopes to tap into this audience.
Flawed is set in a society whereby those who are deemed as disorderly are marked by an 'F' tattoo and are forced into the margins of society to live as second-class citizens. When a popular teenage girl who has the perfect lifestyle and abides by society's orders one day stands up for a "flawed" passenger on a bus she has her image and reputation immediately tarnished. Now she too is branded with a 'F' tattoo but she relishes her newfound image to become the leader of a growing rebellion and stand up against those who subject them to this injustice.
Wendy Finerman and Michelle Chydzik are going to produce the film adaptation. Finerman and Ahern have worked in close quarters before in PS. I Love You which grossed over €150 million in box office sales. Details on the cast and director are still shady but we will keep you updated as the finer details emerge.
One of the greatest moments as a novelist is when my book arrives. I love it. ? I hope everyone else does too. pic.twitter.com/tnOQiYrfDn
