The legendary film composer confirms a first Irish appearance for May
The iconic Hans Zimmer will make his bow on the Irish stage in May.
The legendary composer has collected an Oscar, Golden Globes, Grammys, a Tony and all manner of other gongs during one of the most decorated careers in film composition history. Responsible for scoring everything from The Lion King to Interstellar and Gladiator to Inception, he's worked on movies that have, cumulatively, raked in over $24bn at the box office.
Live shows haven't been a major factor for the German-born composer, though when he makes an exception he makes it worth his while. London shows in 2014 saw guest appearances from collaborators including Pharrell Williams and Johnny Marr, and while we don't expect those two to rock up to 3Arena next summer, we've been promised a full orchestra and choir who will bring Zimmer's music to life.
Tickets for the May 26 show are on sale from Monday, priced at €65.
