Former 2FM DJ and Oscar nominated studio will be at the RDS next week
Stars of the entertainment world might not be the first thing to pop into your mind when thinking of the National Crafts and Design Fair, but there’ll be more than a few familiar faces when the great and good of the country’s craftspeople and designers set up shop there next week.
Among those to particularly catch the eye is Jenny Huston (pictured above), the former 2FM DJ who has turned from unearthing musical gems to crafting precious metal. She will be showcasing her range, which includes everything for necklaces to cufflinks – a one-stop Christmas present shop, in other words.
Cartoon Saloon, meanwhile, will be sharing prints from some of their award-winning movies including Song of the Sea and the Secret of Kells, which you fancy may well become collectors’ items as their star continues to rise.
Throw in textile artist Emma Andrews, who’s worked extensively on Game Of Thrones, and a whole host of Ireland’s top designers, jewellers, artists and craftspeople, and you’ve got a must-see for anyone interested in picking up a few bits and pieces before the holidays. It all takes place in the RDS Main Hall from December 2-6 from 10am each day – full details and booking can be found at [link]nationalcraftsfair.ie[/link].
