The actor has made a point of distancing himself from the character's misogynistic personality.
Spectre, the 24th James Bond film, hits Irish screens on November 6 and sees Daniel Craig once again donning the famous tuxedo.
The English actor has already hit the promotional trail and, in a recent interview with Esquire, he painted James Bond as a vaguely pathetic, out-of-time character.

Spectre will also star Léa Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Christoph Waltz and Ralph Fiennes.
