How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful enters the Irish charts – and how!
Well, we thought it might take a real force of nature to displace country star Nathan Carter from the summit of the Irish Albums Chart and, sure enough, one's just stormed the charts.
Florence + The Machine are back with their third album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, and it's in with a golden bullet this week.
Irish fans will get to hear the new, chart-topping material when Florence headlines Electric Picnic, which takes place down Strabdally way between September 4 – 6.
Carter's Beatuiful Life is at No. 2, while both Taylor Swift and Hozier shuffle down a space to make room for Ms. Welch. 1989 and Hozier are at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively.
The second highest new entry rounds off the Top 5. Jamie xx's debut solo album, In Colour, has had a hugely successful first week, and you have to think that's thanks in part to his great set at Forbidden Fruit last weekend.
In terms of other notable business, SOAK's stunning debut, Before We Forgot How To Dream, makes its bow at No. 19.
