Irish talent is all over the list of movies audiences can't wait to see this year.
A poll of ODEON cinema-goers has revealed their most hyped movies of 2015, a collection with no shortage of local talent.
At the top of the list is the hotly anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, a predicted box-office smash starring Dublin's own Domhall Gleeson. He isn't the only rising star in the cast, with series newcomers Oscar Isaac, John Boyega and Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o joining Luke, Han and Leia themselves; Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher.
Another Dublin native will appear in the third most anticipated film of the year, with Andrew Scott starring in the new James Bond adventure Spectre. Scott is best known for playing Moriarty in the popular series Sherlock, but audiences will get to see him as Denbigh, the Whitehall boss of 007, in Daniel Craig's fourth outing as Bond.
Former Derry model Jamie Dornan will appear as Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, the adaptation of the worldwide hit book set to hit theaters on Valentine's Day. Dakota Johnson co-stars in the role of Anastasia Steele. The film holds the seventh position on ODEON's list.
Doing double time on the list is Oscar-nominated Northern Irish actor Liam Neeson. Neeson will appear in the comedy sequel Ted 2 with Mark Wahlberg and Amanda Seyfried, as well as return to the role that made him an unlikely action hero as ex-CIA agent Bryan Mills in the third installment of the hugely popular Taken franchise. Taken 3 is in theaters now.
