It promises to be a hot night in Fade Street as revellers welcome the new year in...
Swing Zazou will lead the New Year celebrations at a special NYE night party in Dublin’s Market Bar. The gig is being styled under the 14a Fade Street banner and will also feature DJs in a suitably decadent, Prohibition-style shindig.
"14a Fade Street invites you back in time to the golden age of swing, speakeasies, and burlesque performances, for a unique vintage electro-swing party this New Year’s Eve,” a spokesperson explains.
"Party goers will be invited to experience the sounds, sights, and tastes of the prohibition era and beyond, when 14a Fade Street treats you to a unique NYE programme, putting a modern day twist on the glorious sounds of the 1920s to 1950s."
Live music will be provided by the hugely entertaining Brighton 8-piece live electro-swing band Swing Zazou (for more on Swing Zazou, see below), who deliver what has been characterised as "a foot-stomping recipe of soaring, hot-swingin’ licks, driving swing-cat vocals, and vintage harmonies for your entertainment.”
The grooves also promise to be hot. "On the decks will be the infamous Mdme Barducci, throwing the finest Vaudeville Rave in the Speakeasy upstairs, while DJ Don Dapper, purveyor of vintage remix stylings, will be taking over the main floor. Add a sprinkling of cabaret, live performances, burlesque, and genuine prohibition-style antics, and this is truly a NYE party not to be missed.”
Tickets @ €15 are available from Ticketmaster.
