Sticksmen and women of Ireland take note – esteemed cymbal manufactures Zildjian have just launched their Drummer Love competition across many European countries. The company aim to give players in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Russia and Ireland the chance they've always dreamed of – to pick up a prize package from Zildjian, Gen16, Converse, Hard Rock Cafe and Robert Downs Photgraphy.
Submission opened on April 2, and they are looking for you to submit a video playing drums solo or with a band, and to tell them why you love playing Zildjian cymbals.
The judges for the Irish leg are Conor Guilfoyle, the country's leading contemporary jazz drummer, and Graham Hopkins, who bangs the drums for The Swell Season, The Frames and, formerly, Therapy?.
After that, there will be a European semi final, judged by Manu Katche, Simon Phillips and Gavin Harrison, before a final six winners are decided by a public vote.
