Admits 'My Love' is "a pretty annoying song" on repeat.
Talking to Eoghan McDermott on 2fm yesterday, former Westlife singer Kian Egan said he was not surprised that the his old band's music was being used to torture people.
Vice had reported Suleiman Abdullah's claims that he was held in COBALT prison, Afghanistan as part of a CIA interrogation programme and was “assaulted with music by the Irish boyband Westlife.”
Most specifically, chart-topping single 'My Love'.
"I'm delighted that I'm not being tortured by hearing My Love over and over again," Egan told McDermott. "It's a pretty annoying song to be played over and over again.
"Hearing about this is news to me. I just got a text from a journo asking for a comment and I thought, `here we go!'"
Abdullah was released after it became clear he was no threat to the US.
