The charity gig is still set for the O2 despite the weather
The show must go. Despite the arctic conditions that have gripped the capital, the Cheerios Childline Concert is still on for this evening, Friday December 3. Over the past day, massive efforts have been made by participating artists and production crews to ensure their presence at the O2 and not let fans down. So if you’re heading to the O2 tonight, you can still expect a stellar line-up including the likes of Westlife, Shayne Ward, The Wanted, Olly Murs and Jedward.
Organisers have released a statement, saying : “On behalf of everyone involved with tonight’s Cheerios Childline concert at the The O2, we greatly appreciate the extra effort being made by fans & their parents in attending tonight’s charity concert.”
“While it is proving more difficult to travel due to the current weather the concert will take place as scheduled with doors opening at 18.30hrs.”

“Childline is currently experiencing record levels of demand for its services. Over 800,000 calls will be received in 2010 and almost half of those calls will go unanswered due to lack of resources.”
