The test results for Fluoride Analysis of Oireachtas Canteen Water don't make good reading for members of the Dáil.
The results of a fluoride analysis of the water supply in the Oireachtas Canteen are in and it has been revealed that fluoride level exceeds the maximum permitted amount, as specified in the Fluoridation of Water Supplies 2007.
The permitted amount is 0.8 miligrams of fluoride per litre (mg/L) of water – the amount in the Oireachtas Canteen tap water is at 0.9mg/L.
This means that senators and TDS are currently exposed to a dangerous level of fluoride if they drink from the supply.

The results were analysed and approved by environmental scientist Declan Waugh, and have been sent to Oireachtas authorities.
"It is hilarious," one anti-fluoride insider said. "They can't even successfully control the dose of fluoride in the canteen in our national parliament – and yet the members of the Dáil voted last week to keep poisoning everybody. It'd make you laugh if the implications weren't so serious."
