Villagers' Becoming A Jackal just missed out on the top spot in the irish indie charts, released on Friday, climbing back to No.2, just behind Tommy Fleming's big selling Going Back.
Buoyed by its recognition as Hot Press Album of the Year, Conor O'Brien's album jumped from No.4 to No.2 in the charts, just ahead of another fine Irish indie record, Two Door Cinema Club's Tourist History. Becoming A Jackal recently came in
The Coronas also benefitted from their status as Hot Press cover stars, rising from No.7 to No.4 in the charts.
Meanwhile Rihanna's Loud pushed Take That's Progress off the No.1 spot in the mainstream album chart in a place swap at the top. The Script remained best of the Irish at No.3, with Science and Faith, with Westlife's Gravity and Imelda May's Mayhem also in the top 10.

In the singles charts, Rubberbandits' 'Horse Outside' remains at No.2, behind Matt Cardle's 'When We Collide'.
