Villagers, Imelda May lead Sligo Live charge

Sligo Live kicks off tonight...

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 10 Sep 2013

Taking place from October 23 - 28, Sligo Live is Ireland's premiere folk, roots and indie festival. This year's line-up is particularly mouth-watering with Villagers and Imelda May leading a host of excellent acts including Midlake (who make a welcome Irish return after their recent visits to Galway, Limerick and Cork), LAPD, Liz Carroll and Goitse.

Spread across several venues and promising "intimate music in a national environment", and a host of assorted panels and related events, the festival has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2006.

The full programme of events is here.
