Part of National Concert Hall’s Perspective series for 2015, musical director David Coulter brings together a host of artists to delve into the songs and music of David Lynch.
Tonight sees a special event in the National Concert Hall, as stars from near and far celebrate the soundtracks to the work of the masterful David Lynch.
Featuring artists such as our own Conor O’Brien from Villagers, Stuart Staples – lead singer of Tindersticks – and Mick Harvey formally of The Bad Seeds amongst other established guests, the night promises to be as immersive a journey as any of Lynch’s surrealist offerings.
Famous for such esteemed films as Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive and Lost Highway, the music featured in Lynch’s films are as distinctive as his strange and visceral pictures. He’s perhaps best known for the cult favourite TV series Twin Peaks - which is currently getting the reboot treatment – where Lynch partnered with composer Angelo Badalamenti to create one of the most haunting and celebrated soundtracks in television history, as viewers worldwide asked the question ‘Who Killed Laura Palmer?’
Tickets for tonight are still available, ranging between €37.50 and €42.50.
