Adrian Crowley, Nina Hynes and friends play a gig in support of There Is Hope, a suicide prevention charity, this weekend in Dundalk
This Friday, December 13th in the AOH Hall, Dundalk, Nina Hynes, Adrian Crowley, Stephen Mooney & the Hot Rocks and the Get Well Incentive will take to the stage in support of a cause that truly merits the entrance fee.
There Is Hope is an event to benefit the charity of the same name, which works to curb the high suicide rate in Ireland. They also provide a confidential help line service.
Suicide is the leading cause of death in young people. It is responsible for 25% of the total death rate in males aged between 15 and 24, and for 1 in 10 of the females in the same age group. Approximately 8.5% of the Irish population - 300,000 people - suffer from depression.
