Van Morrison has resigned to Polydor after a brief spell with EMI’s jazz imprint, Blue Note Records.

The rekindled relationship bears fruit on May 16 with the release of Magic Time, which combines 10 originals with covers of be bop standards ‘I’m Confessin’’, ‘This Love Of Mine’ and ‘Lonely And Blue’.

Meanwhile, tickets for Van Morrison's July 7 appearance at Cork's Live At the Marquee festival are on sale now from the usual outlets nationwide.
