Two Warrenpoint shows for charity have just been confirmed.
Legendary Belfast singer-songwriter Van Morrison is certainly having a busy 2015. His 35th studio album, Duets: ReWorking The Catalogue is freshly released, he plays Cypress Avenue on August 31, is bound for a 70th Birthday Celebration in Dublin's 3Arena on November 20 and earlier today we learnt he will receive the prestigious Johnny Mercer Award at a gala event in New York on June 18.
Now, Down fans of Van The Man (or anyone who can make the trip there) have not one but two reasons to be excited.
The 'Brown Eyed Girl' singer will play a brace of gigs in Warrenpoint Town Hall on Sunday May 24 as part of this year's Annual International Guinness Blues On The Bay Festival. Doors for the first show will be at 4.30pm, while doors for the evening show open at 7.50pm. It's all for a good cause too, with profits set to go to Southern Area Hospice Services. Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning (April 9) from [link]bluesonthebay.co.uk[/link]
