Vampire Weekend enjoyed a stellar 2013 even by their standards and they have decided to top it off by releasing a brand new “wintertime remix” of ‘Step’ featuring Danny Brown, Heems and Despot with the message of “Happy New Year from Vampire Weekend”.

The band’s decision to ask the MCs to hop on the track may be allusion to the song’s Hip-Hop roots having been based around a sample from Souls of Mischief’s track ‘Step To My Girl’.
