In related news, Bono was invited for lunch at the White House yesterday, Wednesday 19 October. The frontman reportedly met George W Bush for nearly two hours while in Washington to play the MCI Theatre as part of their world tour. Bono received the invite after the pair met at the G8 summit in July.
According to the presidential spokesman, they discussed debt relief, AIDS, malaria and world trade.
Before the meeting, Bono declared that he wasn't scared of any world leader.
"They should be afraid, because they will be held accountable for what happened on their watch," Bono told Rolling Stone.
"I'm representing the poorest and the most vulnerable people."
