Some of the biggest names in Irelan'd music scene have come together to make a re-imagining of U2's legendary album in celebration of The Joshua Tree's 30th anniversary.
In October, RTÉ’s 2FM in association with Universal Music Ireland will launch a charity tribute album The Joshua Tree – New Roots in support of children’s hospice LauraLynn with covers of the original songs by Irish acts including Gavin James, Kodaline, AllTvvins, The Academic, Fanglub and more.
RTÉ are looking for listeners to design the album sleeve for the special record. This is a unique opportunity for all creatives out there to have their original artwork on the CD case cover and in record stores across the country.
For the music, the acts have taken inspiration from the original album; RTÉ are asking designers to do the same. The original artwork for the record is by internationally renowned Irish designer Steve Averill, who will be among the judges in this competition.
