There are plans to release U2’s Mexico PopMart concert from 1997 on DVD later this year.
The Mexico City show was filmed at the Foro Sol Autodromo on December 3 of 1997, and will now be released on a special edition DVD.
The U2 gig has been put out on video before, but this is the first time it will be available on DVD.
The famous stage set-up for the tour featured a huge olive on a 100-foot tall toothpick and a 35-foot mirrorball lemon.
The Grammy-nominated music video is reported to be released in September, with sellers on Amazon offering pre-orders for devoted fans.
Disc one of the DVD will feature the complete track-listing of the gig, including ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For', 'Sunday Bloody Sunday', and ‘Bullet The Blue Sky’.
The limited edition second disc features bonus live tracks recorded at several of the band’s other concerts that year, in Feyenoord Stadium, Rotterdam (July 18) and Commonwealth Stadium, Edmonton (June 14). The DVD also contains video footage and documentaries.
