The movie will explore the story behind the Killian documents controversy
A new film called Truth is being released that illustrates the “story behind the story” in the journalism industry, specifically regarding the Killian documents controversy.
In 2004, CBS broadcasted a news story on 60 Minutes II that indicated that former United States President, George W. Bush, failed to serve his military position. Following the broadcast, the validity of the documents came into question, and it was eventually concluded that the documents were forgeries.
The movie Truth will showcase the riveting story and scandal that occurred back in 2004.
It will be directed by James Vanderbilt, and will star Cate Blanchett, Robert Redford, Dennis Quaid, Topher Grace, Elisabeth Moss, David Lyons and Bruce Greenwood.
It will be released in select theatres on October 16.
