One of the tracks was recorded in Dublin.
Tom Waits has confirmed the November 21 release here of Glitter And Doom Live, which includes a version of ‘Trampled Rose’ culled from his August 1 2008 gig in Dublin’s Phoenix Park.
There are 17 tracks from 10 different venues in all, with ‘Lucinda’/‘Ain’t Goin’ Down’, ‘Singapore’, ‘Get Behind The Mule’, ‘Fannin Street’, ‘Dirt In The Ground’, ‘Such A Scream’, ‘Live Circus’, ‘Goin’ Out West’, ‘Falling Down’, ‘The Part You Throw Away’, ‘Metropolitan Guide’, ‘I’ll Shoot The Moon’, ‘Green Grass’, ‘Make It Rain’, ‘Story’ and ‘Lucky Day’ completing the line-up.
There’s also a bonus CD called Tom Tales, which is “a selection of the comic bromides, strange musings, and unusual facts that Tom traditionally shares with his audience during the piano set. Topics range from the ritual of insects to the last dying breath of Henry Ford.”
A variety of different formats and ‘bundles’ – we want the book and t-shirt one! – can be pre-ordered from tomwaits.com.
