The Who are streaming 'Be Lucky' online.
Eight years on from their last album of new material, Endless Wire, The Who have seen fit to grace us with a brand new tune.
Taken from their forthcoming compilation Who Hits 50, 'Be Lucky' finds the mod legends referencing Daft Punk and AC/DC lyrically and carries a jaunty, reggae-inflected rhythm. It was recorded by old hands Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend, along with bassist Pino Pallodino, drummer Zak Starkey and keyboardist Mick Talbot.
That new record (out October 31) isn't the only way the band are marking their 50th anniversary. They're set to embark on a Who Hits Fifty tour which includes two Irish dates.
They play Dublin's 3Arena on November 26 and The Odyssey, Belfast, on November 28.
