The Secret Machines and Republic of Loose have been invited to join The Thrills when they play Dublin's Point Theatre next week [updated]
hotpress.com can exclusively reveal the ‘very special guests’ of The Thrills as The Secret Machines and Republic of Loose.
Arguably the hottest thing to come out of Dallas since ‘Dallas’, The Secret Machines have garnered a firm following with their debut album Now Here Is Nowhere, drawing comparisons to Pink Floyd, Spiritualized and Placebo among others.
The Point support slot on December 21 will be their first live performance in Ireland, with fans expected to travel from far and wide.
Also joining The Thrills on the evening will be Dublin's own Republic of Loose, fresh from their storming performance at the Ambassador Theatre last week.

Cathy Davey will NOT be performing, as previously reported, due to other commitments on the night. It's a shame for fans of her Something Ilk album which, as accurately reported, has found its place in the Hot Press Top 30 Albums of 2004 (soon to be revealed in the Hot Press Annual, in stores December 16).
Meantime, tickets for The Thrills, The Secret Machines and Republic of Loose at The Point Theatre, Dublin, are on sale now from Ticketmaster and the usual outlets nationwide. Ticket prices start from €25.
