The Albuquerque indie stars have just released 'Simple Song'.
After four years away, The Shins finally see fit to return with their fourth LP Port of Morrow, the follow-up to 2007's Brit-influenced Wincing The Night Away. As of now, you can check out the first single from the album – the band have generously posted 'Simple Song' for our listening pleasure. Though it carries the kind of walking-on-air vocal melody that's become frontman James Mercer's trademark, musically they seem to be entering harder territory. In other words, there are crunching riffs galore.
Port Of Morrow will be the first record released on frontman Mercer's Aural Apothecary label in March.
