Special midnight performance caps off a memorable year for the trio
The Script are planning an intimate midnight show at Dublin's Olympia Theatre December 17 as a way of giving back to their fans after such a successful year. 2010 saw the band release Science And Faith which went platinum in its first week on the charts, and sell over 100,000 tickets on their summer stadium tour.
The performance will be specially priced at €10, with a limited number of tickets starting at €50 to be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to benefit Dublin Simon Community and the Temple Street Children's Hospital.
€10 tickets for the 18+ event are limited to two per person, while the auctioned sets are limited to four per person. Note that on entry, a valid ID must be presented that matches the name on the tickets in order to be admitted to the show. Earlier that night, The Olympia will be playing host to Imelda May's sold-out show as well. As a result, doors for The Script's midnight performance will open at 11:30pm.

The band released a statement announcing the show, saying "Ireland has been such a champion of our music from the start, we wanted to close out the year there and give something back, so we are putting some tickets for the gig up for auction with the proceeds going to Temple Street Hospital and The Simon Community. We are honoured to be able to help in this way and look forward to what will be an amazing night in our home town."
