Pharrell will support the hometown heroes next June.
There have been plenty of big names thrown around over the last couple of days (Robbie Williams, One Direction, even dear ol' Garth) as people eagerly anticipated the announcement of the next act taking on Croke Park.
We can now confirm that the bookies had it right – The Script will headline Ireland's iconic stadium on Saturday June 20. It will be the biggest concert of their careers.
Not only that, the man with the Midas pop touch, Pharrell, will be their very special guest. Tickets go on sale this Thursday. Tickets are priced at €79.50 / €69.50 / €59.50 / €45 including booking fee and go on sale at 9am next Thursday, November 6 from Ticketmaster outlets and [link]www.ticketmaster.ie[/link].
Danny, Glen and Mark arrived in Croke Park this morning to reveal the news themselves. A big 2015 Irish date from the boys was expected – they have another number one album under their belts in the form of No Sound Without Silence and their only Dublin show this year was a relatively intimate Dublin Castle appearance.
Our man Colm O'Regan is currently attending the press conference with The Script, so stick with hotpress.com for further details and more with the band as the day progresses.
