They've also made a straight down the line rock record.
It’s just been confirmed that The Saw Doctors will be bringing the curtain down on the Hot Press/Academy Stage at Oxegen on the Sunday night.
Along with all their arsenal of hits, the band will be previewing songs from their new album, The Further Adventures Of The Saw Doctors, which is due in September and is the band’s most straightforward rock ‘n’ roll outing yet. Indeed, having had a sneak preview, we reckon there are going to be a lot of surprised people out there.
Recorded in Grouse Lodge with veteran UK producer Philip Tennant at the helm, it marks the studio debut of their 24-year-old drummer Éimhín Cradock who’s also contributed significantly to the songwriting.
The Saw Doctors will also be showcasing the album on July 20 and 21 in Kelly’s of Bridge Street as part of the Galway Arts Festival.
There are just 150 tickets, which are available now for €15.
