The Saw Doctors have announced their plans for the start of this year, including a jaunt around America.
The Galway band will begin their 2006 activities with a short tour of Irish colleges as follows:
Monday Feb 20 Limerick Mary I (Dolan's)
Tuesday Feb 21 - Athlone IT (The Gym)
Wednesday Feb 22 - Carlow IT (Music Factory)
Thursday Feb 23 - Galway, GMIT (The Gym)
Friday Feb 24 - Dublin, DCU
Once the stint is finished, they'll be taking their touring skills across the pond. While their new album The Cure hit UK and Irish shops last year, it will be given a Stateside release in March, and the supporting dates will see them play 14 dates, beginning in Philadelphia on March 2 and ending in Milwaukee on March 19.
Their next live outing will take place at the Spring & Airbrake in Belfast on March 31, with a date at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin the day after.
The next planned gig will be on Easter Monday, April 17, to close the Gosport and Fareham Easter Festival in the South of England.
And if they take the rest of the year off to recover, who can blame them?
