Joining him is Irish filmmaker Paul Duane
Blindboy Boatclub continues his quest to become the hardest working man in Irish showbiz by presenting the September 25 IFI Documentary Festival screening of 1967’s The Rocky Road To Dublin.
Eloquently described by him as being “like your Uncle’s old diary that you find in the attic, that finally explains all those scars he never talks about”, it’s the work of Paris-based journalist Peter Lennon who returned home to find a country that was stagnating under the weight of its history.”
The Rubberbandit will be joined for a post-screening chinwag about the doc by filmmaker Paul Duane.
Also Picnic-bound for a string of Comedy Tent and MindField engagements – Gas Cuntism, naturally, is assured - we reckon Blindboy is a shoo-in for the Irish celebrity Strictly Come Dancing. Well, unless Willie O’Deejay beats him to it...
