The Riptide Movement plot Irish tour
The former HP cover stars also have a new single out later this month.

There’s lots going on in The Riptide Movement camp with a new single, ‘Without You’, and accompanying video out on October 26. Then comes a five-date Irish tour that takes in The Slate, Cork (October 27); Roisin Dubh, Galway (November 2); Olympia, Dublin (10); Forum, Waterford (20); and Dolan’s, Limerick (24). Then it’s on to Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Vienna, Prague and Amsterdam for pre-Christmas dates.
They’ve been taken on by Asgard, the London-based booking agents who look after such major names as Tom Waits, k.d. lang, Elvis Costello, The Waterboys and The Kinks and run a stage at Glastonbury.
The chaps will also be keeping a diary for us this month when they fly out to Delhi for the Rendezvous Festival. There’s a healthy indie scene there spearheaded by Menwhopause – ouch! – who Hot Press ran into a few years ago at a Jack Daniel’s event in Tennessee. As you do.
