The line-up for this year's Music Show just keeps on getting better...
Guitar players and music fans alike are in for a double treat at the Music Show, with the addition of Anto Drennan to the line-up for this year's event, which takes place at the RDS, next weekend October 3 and 4.
He will join legendary Horslips guitarist Johnny Fean on what promises to be a hugely informative masterclass in guitar techniques on Sunday at 3pm.
"I'm a big fan of Johnny's playing," Anto told Hot Press. "One of the first things I learned how to play was 'Dearg Doom', so I am really looking forward to it."
Anto himself has long been regarded among Ireland's leading guitar virtuosos. From a family of musicians, he featured as guitarist with Moving Hearts after founder member Declan Synott left. He also played with Genesis during their 1997 and 1998 tour and more recently has been the lead guitarist with The Corrs, playing on all of their records and touring extensively with them. He has also played with Paul Brady, Clannad and Tara Blaise among dozens of other Irish acts.

Known as a fluent and wonderfully melodic player, his command of the vocabulary of contemporary music ranks right up there with the best international guitar stylists. He has released one instrumental album, entitled East Wind.
