Here’s the YouTube video just uploaded for the The Merry Jaynz excellent new single, ‘Frozen Lakes’.
The Merry Jaynz is an original rock band from Knoxville Tennessee, who’s mission is to introduce the world to their "Underground Swamp Rock style of guitar-driven music".
The band consists of Tom Smith on guitars and vocals, his wife Susan Smith on bass, Myron Hammontree on drums and sometimes Terry Phillips on guitar or drums. The band has quite a bit of stage time under their belt all around Eat Tennessee in the shadow of the Great Smoky Mountains.
Speaking exclusively to Hot Press, the band’s singer Tom says: “The song Frozen Lakes originated as just a brief interlude of a very intense jam session WAY back in 1988 during a period in which a lot of jams.”
Listening back, Tom knew he had something and distilled the music adding more changes and lyrics. “Well time went by – decades, actually – and although performed frequently in New York, ‘Frozen Lakes’ was never recorded - until NOW!”
The lyrics are positive and uplifting by “choice” - an attribute that harkens back to Tom's career-long intent to bring forth a healing vibe through music.
