The Libertines have announced that they are working on a new album together and plan to release it in the spring of next year.
It seems that The Libertines have truly left their troubles, or at least their most turbulent troubles, in the past. The band announced recently that they are going to head back into the studio to work on a new album together that they plan to release in the spring of next year.
After a long hiatus caused by tensions between Pete Doherty and Carl Barat, the band made a surprising return in 2014. The band then went on a series of tours and headlining performances, including an emotional show at 3Arena in 2015 that Hot Press covered and dubbed “one of the gigs of the year.”
Despite the pressure that touring can put on even the most stable bands, the group remained together. In 2015, the band released Anthems for Doomed Youth, their first release in over 10 years.
No other information was given about the new album, but Hot Press will be watching this story for further details and any news of when they will return to deliver their signature rock stylings to Ireland.
