The new album titled Everything You’ve Come To Expect is due out on Friday April 1st
It’s been a while coming but the latest record from Mile Kane and Alex Turners The Last Shadow Puppets is due out on April 1st after months of speculation about their return.
The LP is titled Everything You've Come To Expect and features 11 new tracks written by Kane and Turner. Owen Pallett and James Ford also make their return to the band with the addition of Zachary Dawes from Mini Mansions on bass.
After a series of cryptic teasers from Kane and Turner appearing on the bands Facebook page throughout December with the caption “Spring 2016” a new album was announced in early January along with single 'Bad Habits'. This was their first new material together in almost 8 years.
Their first LP The Age Of The Understatement was very much inspired by Scott Walker and early Lennon and McCarthy and the band were quick to cite their influences. This record however would appear to have a darker and much heavier sound, if Bad Habits is anything to go by at least.
Describing the new record the band said “Everything You’ve Come To Expect is a more open and expansive work than its predecessor, wearing its influences less obviously on its sleeve – by turns the album is soaring, snarling and breathlessly seductive.”
