Dave Keuning of The Killers reveals that Oxegen ranks higher than Glasto in their eyes
Dave Keuning was so excited about The Killers' return to Oxegen this year that it made Hot Press' Stuart Clark wonder if he had an Irish cailín waiting for him in the flatlands of Kildare.
"I haven't got an Irish girlfriend...more's the pity! Oxegen's a big deal because it's one of the first European festivals we lpayed when we came over from Vegas in 2004," he says.
"We only had one hit - 'Mr. Brightside'- and were worried in case no one showed. But the tent was packed with people screaming out the words to songs we didn't think they knew. It was that night we thought, 'Hey, something's happening here!' Oxegen more so than Glastonbury even was the highlight of our summer."
Keuning goes on to talk about the songs he wishes Brandon Flowers would sing and performing with Bono, Coldplay and Take That.

But you can read all about that in the current issue of Hot Press which is in shops now.
The Killers are playing the Oxegen Main Stage on Sunday July 12.
